US shoppers splash out on luxury items

This article just stood out to me...the only scripture that comes to mind is from Revelation where it says not to harm the oil and the wine. I realize there are a few different interpretations of that scripture though. Comments or thoughts on this anyone?

luxury

After thinking about this I realized that this article reminds me of the bible stories depicting times of indulgence, luxury and self centeredness that people are partaking in when God brings harsh judgement on them. Right now people are hurting in many ways and to think that there are those who are concerned with buying a 4000.00 dress? Young people working in order to afford a 60.00 shirt? I think if North American's do not get their priorities straight...God will do it for us!!!! In addition, now we have two Christian young men gunned down in cold blood and it is going basically unnoticed.
Hmmmm what will Jesus do?
