Truth or Speculation
I have noticed that several pieces of late have been posted as news and prophecy related; however, they are not coming from any reputable news source. Rather, they come from questionable and speculative "prophecy" websites. If that is what you are into, feel free to view it, but don't post it here as news.
The purpose of this site is to report news and relate relevant current events to biblical prophecy fulfillment. It is not a platform for posting speculative theory. If you want to write a commentary, fine. But back up your thoughts with sound biblical and relevant sources.
I'm not trying to "flame" anyone. I'm simply suggesting that we keep our standards high, so as to be taken seriously by those who may have legitimate questions.
Truth is what will set people free, not guesses, theory, or speculation.
Just my thought...
Perhaps adding comments to commentary pieces would be a useful addition?

Thanks for the insight,
Tue, 04/20/2010 - 18:26Thanks for the insight, Liam. I happen to agree with you. As Rap-con continues to grow, we are starting to see the inevitable issues that arise in a "user submitted news" website. This is true both in the content that is submitted and the technology running the site. Its becoming apparent that we need to make some changes to the submission process and how the news articles are approved and displayed. Maybe we need to move to a digg-like system where user votes determine placement and prominence of news articles. I can see problems with that as well. I'm probably going to start setting up the forum soon, and perhaps we can break it in with some discussions about these things.
But I see all this as a good thing - it means we are growing!
ps - Comments should be available on commentaries to logged in users. Please let me know if that is not the case.
All in the growing pains : )
Tue, 04/20/2010 - 23:14I too think it is great that people are so excited about the site. I'm on here everyday, even though I don't always post. It is my hope and prayer that this contagious excitement for his appearing only increases as the day approaches. Sounds like some good ideas coming too. Please keep us informed how we can better serve the rap-con community.
Oh, yeah...
Tue, 04/20/2010 - 23:16There was an article or commentsry that I couldn't post to. Not sure why. ???
I know the one you are
Wed, 04/21/2010 - 14:56I know the one you are talking about. Somehow when I edited it, comments got turned off for a day or so until I noticed.

Sat, 05/01/2010 - 09:56Maybe an Icon added next to the article showing its approval of the article being relevant to the Bible, Bible Prophecy, The Rapture Conditions. These articles could be sorted at the top of the list of each topic, this would give Rap-Con more of the image of it's beliefs and message it would prefer?
Be very careful of what you allow here from "Rapture Ready"
Fri, 12/10/2010 - 01:02They "used" to be a pretty decent source of end-times related information until one of the page owners began writing "heretical" articles, and even wrote a book revolving around it as well. Then many "contributors" followed suit and began writing "fantasy" articles where they take the Holy Bible TOTALLY out of context. The Holy Spirit gave me a Vision and "Word" on this so, I contacted the actual "primary" owner of the site and he decided to Ignore God's "warning" and just turn a blind eye to what was happening under his watch. Those who "teach" end times Prophecy MUST realize, as well as ANY Prophecy that if it is NOT from God's Word, or the Holy Spirit giving Word, then those perpetuating this "junk" Prophecy WILL answer to the Creator of the Universe at the Great White Throne Judgement.!!!
