The Last Hour
ISRAEL
Matthew 24:32
32. Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33. So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
ISAIAH 27:6
6. He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.

According to many Israel is the fig tree
A GENERATION
(This information can be found at Wikipedia)
It is important to distinguish between familial and cultural generations. A familial generation is defined as the average time between a mother's first offspring and her daughter's first offspring. The generation length is 25.2 years in the United States as of 2007 and 27.4 years in the United Kingdom as of 2004.
ISRAEL BECOMES A NATION
In November 1947 the United Nations decided on partition of Palestine into a Jewish state, an Arab state, and a UN-administered Jerusalem. Partition was accepted by Zionist leaders but rejected by Arab leaders leading to the 1947–1948 Civil War in Mandatory Palestine. Israel declared independence on 14 May 1948 and neighboring Arab states attacked the next day. Since then, Israel has fought a series of wars with neighboring Arab states, and in consequence, Israel controls territories beyond those delineated in the 1949 Armistice Agreements. Some international borders remain in dispute, however Israel has signed peace treaties with Egypt and Jordan, though efforts to resolve conflict with the Palestinians have so far only met with limited success.
THE END TIMES
If a person were born in 1928 that would make him or her 20 years of age in 1948 when Israel became a nation, could we say that he or she saw Israel become a nation? Today that person would be 82 years old; this is a generation about to pass away.
Matthew 24
14. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Are we living in the End times? I strongly believe we are, the times we are living in are clearly explained by Jesus in Matthew chapter 24, II Timothy chapter 3 could not be a better painted picture of what our society has become, there are many other scriptures that have been pointing at this generation and time. I pray that I may be accounted worthy to escape and so should we all.

1948+70 = 2018 -7 year tribulation = 2011?
Tue, 01/26/2010 - 23:53a generation is 70 years. israel became a nation in 1948, if we add these. we get 2018 - 7 year tribulation period. this would mean the rapture would have to be anywhere between now and the end of 2011. although this sounds very possible, we do not know. no one knows the day nor the hour but it certainly is so cool to think this can be right lol.
calculations
Fri, 01/29/2010 - 11:58well in all honesty Isreal became a nation in 1947 but was told in 1948 so there fore that could point to 2010 in the proper calculation. you can actually google that for verification
I included a link for you

70-80
Wed, 01/27/2010 - 11:04Psalm 90:10 (NASB) As for the days of our life, they contain seventy years, Or if due to strength, eighty years,
Yet their pride is but labor and sorrow; For soon it is gone and we fly away.
A GENERATIONS SPAN
Wed, 01/27/2010 - 14:35I agree with the Bible for definitions of a generation also, In my posting about a generation being mentioned is only for a general description not making any difference to our years left. No matter how we look at it we are sure looking very close to our call from the archangel!
??
Fri, 01/29/2010 - 21:51Archangel? JESUS will be the one to call us home matter of fact it won't actuallt be a call but more like here one minute and there the next I Love GOD woo hoo
"For the Lord himself shall
Fri, 01/29/2010 - 22:23"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words." (1 Thess, 4:16-18).

? on my interpretations...
Wed, 03/03/2010 - 00:40I'm glad you posted this, I have had a question within me about it for some time, but have never voiced it. Maybe you or someone else can help me. You know how when someone dies, people always say stuff like "they are in a better place" or talk about them being in Heaven with the Lord, or in Heaven looking down on us? The first time I read this scripture, I got caught on "the dead in Christ shall rise first" part. (And isn't it in Revelation where it talks about the sea giving up its dead?) Does that mean when we die, we're nothing but dead until Christ comes back or am I missing something? And even if we do go to live with Him right away, I can't imagine that I would be looking back on my loved ones here. I mean, I'm going to be in the presence of my God, whom to look upon His face now would mean my death, so how would I be able to turn my attention from Him once I am before Him?
I appreciate any input! =)
2 Corinthians 5:8 - "We are
Wed, 03/03/2010 - 17:052 Corinthians 5:8 - "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."
To me, this suggests that when we die, our spirit goes to be with the Lord, to await physical resurrection. There's some debate about this, as some believe we 'sleep' until the resurrection. Personally, I believe that we go immediately to heaven. On the cross, Jesus told the thief, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise." That sounds immediate to me.
Whatever the case, when Jesus returns, the dead first, then the living, will be caught up in the air to meet him, and will receive glorified (imperishable) bodies.
1 Corinthians 15:51-52 - "51) Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, 52) in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed."
That makes sense to me, and
Wed, 03/03/2010 - 21:18That makes sense to me, and I had not even considered the thief on the cross when I was tossing this around in my mind. Thank you brother! I'm still pretty new in my relationship with God and studying His Word daily, and am grateful when others can help me assemble the mess of thoughts floating around in my head =)
Discovered Rap-Con
Thu, 03/04/2010 - 21:18I'm curious to how you discovered Rap-Con and being pretty new in a relationship with God? I think a person would have learned very quickly to have an interest in a website like Rap-Con.
castille7:sorry for the late reply
Sun, 03/28/2010 - 23:36Sorry I didn't reply to this sooner, I saw it about a week ago but was getting ready to leave and didn't make it back until now. I was baptized 4 years ago, but I held on to my "old man" with a death grip until I was convicted 2 years ago what it truly meant to give my life to Christ. Its only been the last year that I have regularly read the Word. For those reasons, I say that I am new in my relationship with Him. Before then, I was just taking what He gave me and going about my own business. I find myself reading my Bible wishing that I had started reading years ago, like I wasted so much time.
Even before I came back to the Lord (my grandparents had taken me to church as a child, I just ran away from Him when I left home), Revelation was my favorite book of the Bible. I used to sit in my room, read it, the entire time hoping that I would get to see it. I don't know why, I just did. Then fast forward to now, and all the undeniable signs, I was web surfing prophecies and current events, and I happened upon this site. I honestly can't remember what my exact keywords were at the time that I found it. It was the only site I found that day that made it to my bookmarks. It is hard to put into words what goes on inside of me. Its almost like an overwhelming excitement and unworthiness at the same time...like how blessed that God would give me salvation that I don't deserve...but then for Him to bless me again that I get to be part of the generation that will see Him come in His glory?? I cannot wait to see Him and praise Him forever!
Seeking God
Mon, 03/29/2010 - 21:14It seems that our desire to seek out God (truth) is what brings us to seek understanding and then he reveils more to us, for those of us that have asked. Thanks for sharing
My walk
Sun, 02/28/2010 - 15:29I have been raised to love and be God fearing my whole life. I talk to him like a friend all day every day. But I find myself lacking in that I am afraid of the end. I don't fear God nor heaven. I'm not sure what it is. Maybe just the unknown. I have a fear that eternity is a long time. Is this normal amongst anyone else? I and saved and know I will go to heaven, I have no fear of that. It's just that eternity is a LONG time and since I can't wrap my head around it I find myself not wanting to go. I don't want to stay here...but can't put my fear aside. Does anyone else think that it will be like here but without sin and death? I LOVE living in my house with my family..going to work and coming home to them and doing our family things...do you think it will be like that? Or do you think it will be more like the way it is pictured on tv where we are all floating on a cloud in a robe and eating grapes doing ....nothing....really. I know no one really knows, but maybe everyones opinions will calm my human mind. I know it is the devil holding me in this fear...but this is a fear I've prayed for, for many many years and can't seem to free myself of it. It gets better then it gets worse (ususally when I hear of an end time prophecy come true is when the fear is strongest)...so a lot lately.. On top of all of this my husband is being mobilized...do you think the we will all be taken up before the final battle?
I think a lot of people have
Sun, 02/28/2010 - 22:54I think a lot of people have had similar thoughts. Our minds simply can't comprehend eternity. I've thought about this a bit recently, and I've realized that God has given us a preview of his 'style' with this world we live in. I think heaven, and ultimately the new heaven and earth (after the millennial reign of Christ) will be similar to this earth, but 1000's of times better. There will be things to do... things you maybe you've always wanted to do but were unable to do in this lifetime.

Heaven
Wed, 03/03/2010 - 11:08I used to have the very same thoughts. I recommend "Heaven" by Randy Alcorn. It is set up like a reference guide, but on Heaven! I now do not look at Heaven as the end of life, but as a new beginning to a life lived without the burden of sin and in the presence of Jesus Christ, His Father, and the Holy Spirit (whose presence we already have the privilege of experiencing)! I have also noticed that the more I grow spiritually by putting off the old self, the more of "heaven" I have the privilege of experiencing in this life as well. :0)
Peace be with your spirits

Whats Heaven Like?
Mon, 03/01/2010 - 21:21Here are some scriptures that helped me understand some of the things to be expected in Heaven. I also agree that it will be much like here. The New Jerusalem will be our home and it's awesome! There will be a mansion for each one of us. Read Revelation Chapters 21-22 and it gives much details.
John 14:2
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Revelation 21
1. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Revelation 22
1. And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
Our prayers will be with you and your husband, hope these scriptures help!
Your brother Carrol

Hosea 6:1-2
Tue, 03/09/2010 - 22:35Another interesting verse(s). Hosea 6:1-2, after two days (2000 years) Jesus will come back to restore us! 2000 + 33 = 2033 - 7 = 2026 ???
