Are you ready for the Great Recession of 2011–2012? You should be, for it is getting under way even as you read this. Just as the 2009 “greatest economic crisis since the Great Depression” actually began back in 2007, so we are in the early days of the next cycle. Only this recession is going to be a doozy. And the aftershocks will be felt long after President Hillary Clinton leaves the White House in 2024.

A pretty dire look
Submitted by mrhenry on Fri, 02/26/2010 - 19:13.A pretty dire look into the future. Whatever happens, we need to pray for ourselves and our neighbors, and know that God will look after his children. We see these financial troubles coming and we should give heed to the warnings: get out of debt, cut back on unnecessary expenditures, have a 2-3 week supply of food and water, and learn more about self-sufficiency. Even if we come out of this financial recession miraculously unscathed, it is prudent to be prepared for any disaster, natural or financial. The blizzards along the East Coast of the US this winter should demonstrate how reliant we are on outside transportation for food, and that our local grocery stores have only a few days of food on hand at any given time. When those transportation lines are cut, the shelves are empty.
