'Ring of Fire' Solar Eclipse Visible from North America
Get out your calendar and make a big exclamation point on May 20. That’s when an annular solar eclipse will turn the sun into a glowing ring of fire. This is the first solar eclipse visible from the United States in about 18 years, according to NASA. We’ve had our share of lunar eclipses in recent years, but solar eclipses happen when the moon passes in front of the sun, obscuring it from view.
The “ring of fire” effect will be visible as far north as Medford, Oregon and as far south as Lubbock, Texas. Throughout the zone –called the “path of annularity” – sky watchers will see the sun transformed into a a bright doughnut-like object.

Thu, 02/02/2012 - 15:33That is close to Israels current birth day>
May 20 is actually Jerusalem
Thu, 02/02/2012 - 16:21May 20 is actually Jerusalem Day. I don't know how significant this is but the "annular" eclipse looks like the Islamic crescent. Shauvot (when the first harvest was taekn to the Temple) begins on May 27.
hmmmm.
Thu, 02/02/2012 - 17:26is something shaping up here?
Islamic Crescent
Thu, 02/02/2012 - 18:08You may be on to something Hoss

...
Thu, 02/02/2012 - 20:08I really hope we're not around long enough to see this.
Speaking of Shauvot, does anyone have a Hebrew calendar link?
I barely know anything about Jewish customs and such. I've been trying to distance myself from legalistic thinking.

Fri, 02/03/2012 - 13:10I did not know Abib was a "harvest" month.
Remembering God's Provision ... Christ our Passover ...!
Fri, 02/03/2012 - 14:49When you think about it, the "Exodus" needed to be able to bring food along and "barley/winter wheat" is not able to be parched or dried for transport until it is mature / harvestable. God chose to provide the sign for the time of the "Exodus" by the firstfruit harvest of barley ... and also the Scriptural year starts with Passover ... and counts from there ... the legal / secular year has chosen the "fall / second harvest" to start it's year per Babylonian counting of the moon and the pagans start their year according to sun position... check and see when the mana stopped also ...
Great info
