'Perfect Citizen' Program Places 'Sensors' Throughout Web
The federal government is launching an expansive program dubbed "Perfect Citizen" to detect cyber assaults on private companies and government agencies running such critical infrastructure as the electricity grid and nuclear-power plants, according to people familiar with the program.
The surveillance by the National Security Agency, the government's chief eavesdropping agency, would rely on a set of sensors deployed in computer networks for critical infrastructure that would be triggered by unusual activity suggesting an impending cyber attack, though it wouldn't persistently monitor the whole system, these people said.
Defense contractor Raytheon Corp. recently won a classified contract for the initial phase of the surveillance effort valued at up to $100 million, said a person familiar with the project.
An NSA spokeswoman said the agency had no information to provide on the program. A Raytheon spokesman declined to comment.
Some industry and government officials familiar with the program see Perfect Citizen as an intrusion by the NSA into domestic affairs, while others say it is an important program to combat an emerging security threat that only the NSA is equipped to provide.
"The overall purpose of the [program] is our Government...feel[s] that they need to insure the Public Sector is doing all they can to secure Infrastructure critical to our National Security," said one internal Raytheon email, the text of which was seen by The Wall Street Journal. "Perfect Citizen is Big Brother."

They already know where you go via traffic cams, cell phones, and credit card purchases, now they will know where you go on the web. This has a huge potential to be abused for profiling. I can imagine a scenario like this: "SYSTEM WARNING! User A has been flagged a potential risk. User A often visits Rap-con.com, has searched using flagged keywords [i.e., end times, tribulation, BHO, Antichrist], has purchased subversive literature [Christian], and goes to a non-state supporting Church." Very Orwellian, but it doesn't take much stretch of the imagination to see how a scenario like that might unfold in the future. Little by little these systems are put in place for 'our protection'.

If this is the scenario, I pray that you are born again and understand that Jesus is the way. These events are very close to taken place. This is not a gloom and doom case if you are already born again because you will not be here.

Wed, 07/14/2010 - 10:07This is just all thunder in the coming storm. You guys are right, they track our every move. Why? Controle. They must have it and followers of Jesus are the biggest obsticles in thier way. We can no more stop it than we can stop the rain. We have to learn how to go around it and not be sucked in. I may be wrong but I feel that we have The Great Commision because it is our job to tell the truth about the end. I know, it is up to us to spread the Word of God, but stop and think for a minute. Jesus knew the end of it, and up till now, it has been basically the same day in and day out. Now it is all different. That Commision plays a bigger role now than ever. We can beat thier gaggets and electro do-dads. We just have to get our heads and hands in and work.

Thu, 07/15/2010 - 12:00I believe we are truly in the last days and that our Lord and Savior will be returning sooner than we think. Everyone must realize that once Israel became a state in 1948, that fulfilled a major prophecy which started the countdown to end times. The signs are all around us if we open our eyes. Alot of people don't want to talk about or think about Jesus coming in their lifetime because they are too busy living in this world. They are too concerned about the here and now. "Don't be so heavenly minded that you're no earthly good." Is not in the Word of God. On the contrary, Colossians 3: 1-4 says: "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, [who is] our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory." Earth is not our permanent home!! We should be living for God! Not being heavenly minded is what satan wants us to do!! If he can keep us distracted with the things of this world, we can and eventually will, forget our First Love, God! After we become born-again, our job is to win souls for the kingdom of God. Jesus commanded the disciples after He rose again and before He ascended to heaven according to Mark 16:15: "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." that means tell others about Jesus' death, burial and ressurrection! If we get to caught up in earthly things we may forget our "Great Commission". And that is exactly what satan wants us to do! satan wants to take as many people as he can to HELL. People will go there if they do not hear the gospel. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; " and Romans 5:12: "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" How will a person know they need to repent, that God provided a way out of escape from the condemnation of our sin, a way for them to be reconcilled back to God if no one tells them?! TheWord says in Romans 10:17:"So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Proverbs 11:30 says "The fruit of the righteous [is] a tree of life; and he that winneth souls [is] wise." We as born-again believers need to remember the job Jesus gave to each and every one of us... "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." In closing, let me share the chorus of an old Steve Green song (They sure don't make christian songs like they used to. Another example of how the world has infiltrated the church!) Compare this song to the"christian" songs of today and you will understand:
