Head Knocked Off Jesus Statue Outside Dorchester Church

The Rev. Jack Ahern of Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta Church said he found the statue’s head lying on the ground in pieces last weekend.

“Sunday morning, about three o’clock, someone saw someone smashing the head of Christ, completely decapitating Christ and pushed the statue off its base,” he told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 Wednesday.

Some parishioners picked the statue up and tied it to the church sign nearby.

But Ahern said the statue is beyond repair.

“It’s so disrespectful. There’s no respect any more,” a parishioner said.

“I wonder how people are raised with the lack of morals, that they would even think of doing that.”

Sister of yours's analysis:
Persecution will never end til the Lord is back in place as the True Head of the body. He IS coming again and when He does, all those who hate Him will wail and cry for the mountains to fall upon them to hide them from Him but to no avail.

God is a Spirit

Yeshua said (John 4:23) "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the
Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. {4:24} God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth".

Yea I know

that God is not a statue. It's nothing to do with symbolism.. really I posted this to show how people seem to have no respect anymore for anything that depicts Christ or God or Christianity at all... I'm not catholic but I can see that those who are would be shocked by this act of violence against the image of Christ. Any Christian should be shocked by such violence because it's a step towards random acts against Christians themselves. IF they have no fear to destroy the property of a church will they have any problem with harming a Christian of any faith?
Makes you pause... :)
It is wonderful that God sent us Jesus to be saved by His blessed blood being shed. But He also sent the Holy Spirit- the Comforter else we would have no comfort in these days and times. Christ said He had to go back to the Father else we would not have the Holy Spirit (the Comforter)... I am thankful to God for the gifts He has given to me and all believers! Blessed be the name of the LORD!

The Holy Spirit!!

Amazing how calm I feel in these dark days. Could it be the Holy Spirit that quiets my soul and keeps me calm and unafraid? ABSOLUTELY! Blessed are those who have accepted the free gift of Salvation through Christ Jesus. Blessed are those who rest in the LORDS loving care. I feel blessed. Thanks to the LORD and HIS love for HIS own! We are truly blessed INDEED! I feel sorry for those who don't realize what they are missing. A personal relationship with Jesus is the most wonderful experience anyone can experience in LIFE on this fallen planet.

The Spirit moved me to post this verse

John 16

1 “All this I have told you so that you will not fall away. 2 They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God. 3 They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me. 4 I have told you this, so that when their time comes you will remember that I warned you about them. I did not tell you this from the beginning because I was with you, 5 but now I am going to him who sent me. None of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ 6 Rather, you are filled with grief because I have said these things. 7 But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8 When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 about sin, because people do not believe in me; 10 about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11 and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

12 “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”

That is His reality. I am not a bible scholar, and I have no substantial knowledge in any particular area other than my own experiences through life. in that, The most benefit comes from utter and full dependance on the Holy Spirit of Christ. AMEN, Lyndy!

Salah, that was beautiful!

As Sister commented, wonderful post! It got me to thinking. The Holy Spirit is so alive and working in us. It's a glorious experience to be connected to our Savior in such a way. I LOVE IT! Thanks and yes WELCOME!

Your spiritual arms

are widespread open to embrace a new comer and I am so grateful! It makes me smile. I feel like an outcast in this world, my friends are all slowly leaving me because I am not my old, corrupted self anymore. Its difficult to endure, but I know it is necessary for my next steps in my walk with the Lord. May He work my life into a symphony for Him.

Eph 3:16...May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the Holy Spirit Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality. May Christ through your faith actually dwell, settle down, abide, make His permanent home in your hearts and not just your head! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love. That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints, God's devoted people, the experience of that love...what is the 1 breadth and 2 length and 3 height and 4 depth of it.

That you may really come to know practically, through experience for yourselves, the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge without experience, that you may be filled, through all your being, unto the fullness of God, may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, the constant awarenes of His omnipresence, and becoming a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself!

Now to Him Who, by & in consequence of, the action of His power that is at work within us who believe, is able to carry out His purpose, plan and will, and do superabundantly, far over and above all that we dare ask or think, infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams...To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throught all generations forever and ever Aman
