Developing Story: Sonic Booms, nuclear event, and earthquake outside Chicago, U.S.
Nuclear reactor near Chicago, Illinois, vented steam with radioactive Tritium on Monday, Jan 30, 2012. A nuclear reactor at a northern Illinois plant, about 95 miles (152 km) northwest of Chicago, shut down at 10:18 am, local time (16:18 UTC), after losing power. Steam was being vented to reduce pressure, according to officials from Exelon Nuclear and federal regulators. The steam contains low levels of tritium, a radioactive form of hydrogen, but federal and plant officials insisted the levels were safe for workers and the public.
At 9:54:43 p.m. (Jan 30 by local time) (Jan 31 at 03:54:43 UTC), near the same area we had a relatively small 2.4-magnitude earthquake. Sonic booms during night reported by citizens during night (Monday/Tuesday, local time) people reported several sonic booms. There are no official reports on this but you can follow discussion on Dutchsinse’s YouTube channel.

Wed, 02/01/2012 - 13:56After all the lies that were apparently told to the public after the japan disaster...do you believe what these people are saying?
I believe little to nothing
Wed, 02/01/2012 - 14:58from an official source. I was just horrified this AM to learn of the "pink goo" mcdonalds has been putting in their burgers (altho I only do their coffee)! lately, I feel as if I am saying goodbye to people, places and things. I want to join FTGF on the corner, handing out tracts.
@Firepig
Wed, 02/01/2012 - 17:08I am very complimented by that :)
Unfortunately I feel as though I may not be the best role model. My evangelism is being hindered a great deal and I've been too timid in recent weeks. I confess my faults before all of you, I may sound like an alarmist but deep down I'm one terrified kid, I really don't want to be a hypocrite.
Time is a gift from God and we never get it back. Now events are really heating up, if anyone wants to email me and get more information talk me msd740@yahoo.com. We're all in this together. WIN SOULS FOR CHRIST.
Please pray for me to have boldness, to crucify my flesh and earthly desires. The Kingdom of God is at hand!
FTGF--you are definitely NOT a hypocrite...
Wed, 02/01/2012 - 17:53you are always examining yourself, which I believe we need to do daily. matter of fact, I am weak and backslide continuously, but just this week got back into Bible reading after a looong slide. even tho I dont understand everything I read, it has helped me tremendously--curbing my snarly self and infusing me with happiness. you are right about time, but God sees our efforts and I know He is pleased. got the tracts. see you on the corner.
Amen sister!
Wed, 02/01/2012 - 18:16God bless you and anoint you in your endeavors.
Worthy! Worthy is the Lamb of God who was slain at the foundation of the world! Glory to Him in the highest!
We ALL have our faults!!
Thu, 02/02/2012 - 09:17Our SPIRIT convicts us of these things but IF we didn't have the Holy Spirit in us we wouldn't give a hoot. I too have had issues with a backslid-den state BUT we need to get back up and finish this race. ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDER ya all!! God Bless and keep looking UP! I never tire of saying this! : )
Rap Con meter
Wed, 02/01/2012 - 15:53It does seem like the meter up at the corner should be a little deeper into the red!
The meter...
Wed, 02/01/2012 - 16:15the meter goes up or down as a result of the ratings on news stories submitted. to rate a story you simply mouse over it to the star you think the story should have and click. then the system tabulates your vote in. I have noticed that the bar has gone from bordering the line between one and two to the second bar just since I joined in December. That's a SUBSTANTIAL jump in the meter. Dont forget to rate the news stories when you read them... then again I am not a moderator but I am fairly sure that's how it works. :)

Why isn't it in mainstream news?
Wed, 02/01/2012 - 19:51Interesting that a story this big isn't on http://www.chicagotribune.com/ Is it being hidden or is thewatchers article fabricated?
Washington Post
Wed, 02/01/2012 - 22:08Interesting -- it shows up on the Washington Post but not the Chicago Tribune. Definitely hiding going on.
Mainstream News
Wed, 02/01/2012 - 20:41Because the american govt and the media is intent on keeping us stupid....if it isnt in the news it never happened....keep yourself informed....they think we are more interested in celebrity news
The news.
Wed, 02/01/2012 - 22:09It's safe to assume the mainstream media will not report a panic-inducing story unless there is something to be gained from that panic.

Grafted thanks for this video.
from wikipedia
Wed, 02/01/2012 - 21:06Tritium is an isotope of hydrogen, which allows it to readily bind to hydroxyl radicals, forming tritiated water (HTO), and to carbon atoms. Since tritium is a low energy beta emitter, it is not dangerous externally (its beta particles are unable to penetrate the skin), but it is a radiation hazard when inhaled, ingested via food or water, or absorbed through the skin.[14][15][16][17] HTO has a short biological half-life in the human body of 7 to 14 days, which both reduces the total effects of single-incident ingestion and precludes long-term bioaccumulation of HTO from the environment[16].
The sonic booms are a bit of a mystery, but the tritium release appears to be relatively "normal" as wikipedia states also that more than 48 of 65 plants that emit this kind of particle have done so. The earthquake...well, the new madrid fault has been heating up. You all remember those articles about all the earthquakes they've been having in Oklahoma right? This is alittle north for that perhaps, but not *that* much farther north.
