Date Setting Goes High Tech - New Book Star Code
Not since Whisenant’s 88 Reasons has a book been so bold about date naming the tribulation, until the release of Star Code by author Dr Chris Ward. However, unlike 88 reasons Why The Rapture Will Be in 1988, this book predicts a more nebulous rise of the Antichrist, rather than the second coming of Christ or the rapture of the Christian believers.
Star Code uses planetarium software to look back in time to the birth of Christ. Significant celestial events of that time become reference for events yet to occur in our near future. Ward’s theory is that the Antichrist will attempt to replicate the credentials of Jesus.
Ward set’s his date at June 6th, which won’t leave a lot of time for book sales. But this book isn’t looking for the catastrophic disappearance of Earth’s Christians. Rather it seeks to keep a watchful eye on Revelation’s end-times scenario. The book may prove useful even after it’s expiration date for two reasons: Scripture and textbook instruction.
This text is chock full of Scripture. What appears to be prooftext shenanigans, when taken in the context that all apocalyptic prophecies are sharing a single narrative, actually shows how each Biblical author assists the next. Ward also lays out a rather heartening, though certainly not comfortable, view of the Tribulation years. His theories and assumptions will be useful even after his Antichrist’s deadline. Indeed, already his work is refuting would be messiahs. See my article on Matreya's Star.)
This thing reads like a manual. He doesn’t just document his research; Ward instructs the reader how to replicate his results and provides annotated screenshots along the way. He lists free resources for software and encourages the reader to follow along. By the end of Chapter 1, I felt like I just finished the first class of a college elective. Which makes sense; Ward is a 29 year teaching veteran.
He’s also a Viet Nam Veteran, a well credentialed pastor of 22 years, and an acclaimed exorcist. He has been interviewed by Steven Colbert, Penn & Teller, Glen Beck, Forest Sawyer, and a handful of morning zoo radio shows every time another exorcist film is released. While He doesn’t seem to take himself too seriously, we may want to take a serious look at his new book.
Star Code is available through Author House Publishing. You can download the e-book version for as little as $5.95. Ward’s previous book Case Files of an Internet Exorcist is also available.
