Bible prophecy unfolding before our very eyes

Are the recent events in Egypt the catalyst to the beginning of the fulfillment of Psalms 83? Personally, I believe so...In Psalms 83 Asaph talks about how the enemies of Israel collectively join together with the intent to destroy the nation of Israel (Psalms 83:1-5). Then in verses 6-8 he elaborates on who specifically is involved with this attempt to destroy Israel. The list includes "the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites..., Moab, Hagorites, Gebal, Ammon, Amalek, Philistia, "...the inhabitants of Tyre" and Assyria. If one does a short study on these ancient descriptions of the middle east then one would find that Edom, Ishmaelites, Moab, Hagorites and Ammon all refer to the area of present day Jordan. Gebal and Tyre refer to present day Lebanon (the government of which Hezbollah is attempting to rule over); Asysria is naturally present day Syria; Philistia is present day Gaza strip (Hamas ruled) and Amalek is present day Egypt(1, 2). Anyone familiar with the geography of the Middle East knows that all these territories are direct neighbors with Israel. Likewise, all of these territories today except two of them, Egypt and Jordan, are absolute enemies of Israel(3, 4). As of this posting, Egypt and Jordan are the only two neighboring nations with Israel that have peace agreements with Israel...tomorrow, literally, that could change.

With the events going on in Egypt today, Israel may, and probably will, have another neighboring enemy soon. If the events unfolding in Egypt don't directly result in a government hostile to Israel then it will most certainly play a remarkable role in the eventual establishment of a future government hostile to Israel. Personally, I would think that it would be sooner rather than later, especially if the Muslim Brotherhood capitalizes on the events. Lets not forget, the Muslim Brotherhood has played either a direct or indirect role in the establishment of many of the Islamic extremists groups such as Hamas with each of them based on Theocratical beliefs founded on Shariah Law and all of them call for the complete and utter destruction of the nation of Israel(5).

History tells us that Israel has never been attacked by all of the aggressors listed in Psalms 83 at the same time. Even during Biblical times Israel has only been attacked by some of the above mentioned aggressors at any given time(6). With the civil unrest we're seeing in Egypt and the demand for the stepping down of Hosni Mubarak the opportunity is definitely there for an extremist leadership to gain control of Egypt who would be more than anxious to attack their neighbor to the north. In their beliefs it would be their duty. But, before they would launch a collaborative attack with the other nations surrounding Israel there would still be one more development to unfold.

As noted earlier Jordan would still have to join these ranks for the stage to be completely set, assuming the events in Egypt lead directly to an anti-Israel government. Precisely what events take place in the future for this to occur only time will tell. However that future may be closer than we think. Although the mainstream news channels have been more focused on the unfolding events in Egypt, Jordan, among other nations including the U.S. are having protests in support for the people of Egypt. Interestingly, the protests in Jordan are backed by the Muslim Brotherhood with the leader of that group, Hamman Saeed, warning that "the civil unrest in Egypt will spill over across the Mideast and North Africa, ultimately resulting in the ouster of Arab rulers supported by the U.S.(7).

Only time will tell how soon the events in Egypt and Jordan will result in the deterioration of the current relationships between Israel and her two neighbors, but one thing is certain, their relationships and the current peace treaties between them will collapse. The only question is the timing according to God's will and if these events we are witnessing today will play a more direct role or a more subtle indirect role. The signs are there before us, the stage is being set, sooner or later Egypt and Jordan will become hostile towards Israel and all of those countries/regions that surround Israel as described in Psalms 83 will collectively attack Israel.

Anyone who knows the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior should view these events with excitement knowing full well what lies ahead. We are part of the generation that is fortunate, even blessed, enough to watch Bible prophecy unfold before our very eyes. Prophecies that were written over 2000 years ago! We know that these events must come to past so that the complete fulfillment of Psalms 83 can also come to past in order to set the stage for yet another prophecy yet to be fulfilledthe prophecy of Ezekiel 38.

Excitingly, these are not the only prophecies unfolding before our very eyes. There are also the end time prophecies of Jesus in Matthew 24, Luke 21 and Mark 13. In those chapters He tells us of signs to look for, signs we are seeing today such as earthquakes in many places, weather pattern changes, widespread disease and famine, etc. The signs are there, the foundations for prophetic fulfillment are being laid, the time is near. Soon and very soon Jesus is coming to call His Church home!!! Praise God, Hallelujah!!! If you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior keep your eyes up towards Heaven as you look for His coming, between now and then, I encourage you to spread the Word daily with everyone you know and meet. Time is short. If you have not yet accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, your chance to do so is getting short, I encourage you to accept Him as Lord and Savior in your life. He is your ONLY Hope in a world gone mad.

King Abdullah of Jordan has already followed suit, sacking most of his government as a result of protests. Israel is on her own...

Middle East in the fast lane

Yes, events are moving fast in the Middle East. I just saw Breaking News headlines on regarding the collapse of the King Abdullah's government. No report was available concerning this new development as of yet that I have seen...

"...choose you this day whom ye will serve...but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24:15

word from God

God laid it on my heart knowledge about what's going on in the middle east this past Sunday. I'll keep it short:

In essence, the final pieces of the chess board are surrounding the King (Israel) for the "check-mate." Our status as a super power is dying off and we can see this almost on a daily basis. This is continuing God's will and setting up the people needed for the Ezekiel war.

I'm thinking God's laying into the gas pedal of end times prophecy more and more. Jesus is about ready to come get us.

Time is short

I think, at this point and short of a miracle, Satan knows he must act quickly.

I agree

I think satan knows God's moving and he's sending Jesus real quick, but doesn't know when and it's freaking him out...thus all the events and stuff we're seeing in conjunction with the prophecies being fulfilled. As a christian, I personally think it's amazing to watch it all unfold.

Its simple

For those of you who are reading all of this and who haven't accepted Christ, the process for accepting Him is simple. A simple prayer is all that is required - its free - it doesn't cost you a dime - you don't have to go stand in line - you don't have to fill out any paperwork - you don't have to do anything other than heartfully say the following prayer. Do it before its too late!

"Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."

Then do it!

That is the hard part -Obedience. I realize more and more, every day through the power of a convicted heart how desperately I rely on Jesus to save me. I hate sin but it does make me realize how much we truely need him.

unbelievable events!

This day reminds me of 9/11 when I watched tv as those other planes crashed. We watched it happen. I have been on and off RapCon today(having a day at home with a sick child). It was predicted this morning about Jordan being certain to "follow suit" with Egypt probably soon...and, lo and behold, it is HAPPENING TODAY!!!!! This HAS to absolutely terrify unbelievers. The world is OUT OF CONTROL in every way. Earthquakes, floods, volcanoes, hurricanes, extreme heat, extreme cold, blizzards, floods, dead animals, famines, wars, that is enough to freak out even the most doubtful.

Events Unfolding in Egypt and in Jordan

My dear friends, thank you for allowing me to join this discussion. I am astounded by the events I have witnessed in my lifetime. As a child I witnessed the Six Day War and how the Israeli army could have occupied Cairo, had they chosen to do so - it was never their intention and they would never had done so. All they wanted is to be left alone to live in their own land given them by G-d, Israel.

I have witnessed throughout the years the ascendancy of Israel in the region. The return of Jews from Uganda, Ethiopia, the former Soviet Union, and all corners of the world, to their ancestral land in Israel as it was prophesied!

I totally agree with the author of this article, Fullquiverdad, and cannot help but notice, as a Catholic, the Latin significance of the nomiker this wirter chose - so appropiate.

I do believe that in fact we are seeing Torah / Bible Prophecy unfold before our very eyes!

But I have a personal quandry. Though I wholeheartedly confess Jesus / Yeshua to be my Messiah / Meshiach in fulfillment of G-d's Promises, and I am denominationally a Christian and a "Gonim", yet I do have an increasing yearning not to wish to be "Raptured", but rather to become a Jew - even though I believe in Jesus - and be by the side of those defenders of Israel today, and in Armageddon! There are many ways to serve
G-d. Am I wrong? I remember what was written in Babylon, in exile: "All those who mourn for Yerushalayim will merit to see its rejoicing". That I may be there when Yeshua returns! What are your thoughts? What would you advice me, friends?

Bless, Shalom!

Althor, i do understand and

Althor, i do understand and respect your desire. we have to understand that God Almighty has a seperate plan for His chosen people Israel and His peculiar people the Church i.e. Bride of Christ.1 peter 2:9- " But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:" we the church must be raptured to be taken or moved out of the way so that He may deal with Israel. it is my belief that even jews who accept Jesus as their Messiah prior to His return for His Bride will be taken in the rapture. The Israelites that will be here during the tribulation, God will open their eyes and show Himself strong when He delivers them from the ezekiel 38-39 war.
i Pray that God will reveal to you His purpose and plan for your life.
also to my Brothers and Sisters in Christ if i have given wrong information please show me .. i don't want to be in error..

Althor, please reconsider

While your thoughts of helping others are commendable I urge you not to seek this path.

2 Thessalonians 2:11
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

During the Tribulation period after the rapture the bible says that those that had the chance and rejected
God will be sent a strong delusion and believe the lie.

Also Luke 21
29 He told them this parable: "Look at the fig tree and all the trees. 30 When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near. 31 Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near.

32 "Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.

I see the signs too, the wars and rumors of wars, the earthquakes, but that doesn't mean it will happen tomorrow.

Luke 12:39-40 (NIV) "But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."

no one knows when the rapture will take place for sure, if it happens 2 yrs from now and you die next year, and you have not received Jesus Christ as your savior, you will not get another chance, you will die and go to hell.

I urge you to reconsider

btw I registered just to reply to you, earlier in my studies and searches tonight I came across the name althor on another older forum about the apple mecca bldg in NY. if that was you (spanish descent?) then from reading your posts I gather you are very learned and intelligent, just look at all the fulfilled bible prophecy and you will know the true God. also belief that Jesus was a real person is not enough, Satan knows Jesus is real but rejects his rightful glory(and God's for that matter).

Have your full heart devoted to your Commanding Officer's orders and wisdom . When Yeshua /Jesus raises you
up from the Earth , it will be to save you from The Glory's wrath that will be poured out . No doubt , when the Israelites were in their homes on the first Passover in Egypt that some of the Jews had empathy for some
Egyptians that they knew were not going to make it through the night. Their God honoring duty , and their
salvation , was to be where God told them to be . Do not love God's creation or nation more than God's wisdom
and timing . Your life is not your own . You must be the faithful bond servant . Jesus said that where He is , there His servant will be also ! God bless those who serve Him faithfully . is a community of people who post news articles end editorials concerning Bible prophecy.
