Atheist officer shouts, 'I am a non-believer,' boots protesters from concert grounds
"I am a non-believer. There is no God. There is no Jesus. There is no Satan," shouted a New Mexico sheriff's deputy as he ran off loud Christian protesters outside a Rob Zombie concert.
Bernalillo County Sheriff Deputy Jim Goff's July 17 comments were captured in the following video footage and posted on YouTube by a street-preaching group.

mrhenry's analysis:
The video wasn't working at the time I posted this story. However, the real story, IMO, is the comments posted by users on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lVn3S_i9us). One commenter said: "The police simply asked you to leave --- just leave. Why do you have to go and try to ruin other people's good times just because they happen to believe something else? We all know about your messed up beliefs, and you don't see us protesting in front of your church, do you? Sheez.......get a life." There are many more of these types of comments, all rated highly by other users. It's a person's God-given right to stand on public property and express their opinion, so long as that speech doesn't infringe upon the rights of others or incite violence. Whether or not you agree with what is being said isn't the point. We are seeing the beginnings of a dangerous sentiment (especially among those at odds with Christianity)-- that it's OK to suspend or revoke the rights of certain individuals or groups whose ideas are not popular. Often this happens under some false pretense (claiming private property as in this case, or citing a statute which bars parades and processions on Supreme Court grounds in order to prevent school kids from praying, or by labeling religious speech as a hate crime). Long-held beliefs and convictions are being unraveled at an alarming pace, and the public onslaught against Christ and his followers is ramping up. How long before we see real physical persecution? The kind of persecution that will separate the chaff from the wheat. It's my opinion (and nothing more) that the upcoming elections in Nov. will set the Final course of this country. Will we abandon our God (and our history) and be given over to complete depravity and destruction, or will we take a step back from the brink? During the '08 Presidential election, I mused to a friend that if a certain candidate was elected the timetable of prophetic events would speed up dramatically. I had no idea!

Persecution is Increasing
Tue, 07/27/2010 - 08:41The rise in persecution related articles posted at Rap-Con has been staggering. The total number listed since January is more than all the previous months combined. The total so far in July is more than double the previous monthly record. Matt 24:8-12 tells us this will happen: "But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. "Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. "At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. "Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. "Because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold."
If they only knew
Tue, 07/27/2010 - 11:12I was listening to Raul Ries this morning on itunes regarding a series on the last days and he said there are billions of souls in hell screaming out right now wishing they had another opportunity to seek the messiah. If they only knew we just want to help. We just want to save souls. Maranatha!
Fear is the driving force.
Tue, 07/27/2010 - 14:01Fear is the driving force. Satan loves fear does he not? The hatred that fearful people feel for Christ is the force that Christians need to overcome. Being strong can overcome the fear in some hearts.
