An Invasion of Israel? In 2012?

A careful comparison of current events vis-à-vis the Palestinians and the so-called Peace Process with a variety of Jewish sources concerning events that are destined to take place at the Final Redemption, leads to surprising and positive possibilities. The following article describes a possible scenario and the Jewish sources on which it is based.

Maimonides (Mishneh Torah, Hilchot Melachim 12) teaches that the Jewish Oral Tradition does not clarify the details of future events described by the Prophets of Israel in the Bible. In his words– "and in all these things and related matters man will not know how they will come about until they come about." In other words, no one knows exactly what the Prophets are describing until it takes place.

Let us consult Jewish sources to see if there are hints as to upcoming events. First we will review a possible scenario constructed from the Palestinian declared intentions and from prophetic sources that correlate with them. Then we will quote these sources in detail so as to back up the scenario. The result is much more encouraging than currently considered.

After extensive preparation of the apparatus of statehood and widespread recognition by a growing list of countries of an "independent state of Palestine with borders defined by the 1967 cease-fire lines", the Palestinians turn in September 2011 [see Note 1 below] to the UN Security Council to be recognized as an independent State within the pre-1967 armistice lines– meaning that the Ramat Eshkol neighborhood of Jerusalem, as well as many others, will be part of Security-Council-recognized Palestine.

The USA does not veto this resolution (the recent US veto of the anti-settlement Security Council resolution was a feint, and not a precedent) and it passes [see Note 2]; alternatively, if there is a veto, the Palestinians turn to the UN General Assembly, using the 1950's "Uniting for Peace" tactic which enabled the USA to engage in the Korean War although a Russian-Chinese veto had paralyzed the Security Council on this issue and receive their approval.

The Palestinians then turn to the State of Israel and request immediate evacuation of its nearly 650,000 citizens from "their state". Israel offers to discuss the matter, the Palestinians refuse any discussion [see Note 3] and refer the issue back to the Security Council, requesting that they act to remove these interlopers post haste from "their state". After a short time, the Security Council and/or Quartet decide that the festering wound of the Israel-Palestine conflict has persisted long enough and decide to settle the matter once and for all by sending an expeditionary force to Israel to carry out the evacuation forcibly [see Note 4].

The deadline for Israel acting is by January 15, 2012 [see Note 5]. On or about that date, if Israel does not begin to seriously evacuate its citizens (and it won't), an expeditionary force consisting of contingents from both Christian and Moslem countries [see Note 6] lands on the shores of Israel. The force consists of at least 185,000 combat soldiers [see Note 7], and is well-armed enough to counter the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) in whatever conflict configuration that might develop.

Jesus is just about here

If this goes down...and with our current administration, i think it will... we're seeing the final maneuver to set up Israel for the gog / magog war.

Hope ya'll are ready to get out of here and on to be with Jesus because as pastor Hagee says "I can hear the pounding hooves of the four horsemen of the apocolypse coming" ...and we all know Jesus is coming before that....thank God!

I found this article so

I found this article so fascinating. Prophecy from a Jewish perspective! I had no idea that this is how some are interpreting what's going on with the Palestinian state recognition issue we see in the news everywhere. It is very interesting.

Psa 83 or Eze 38. Which is first?

I cannot find hoss's post about which comes first--Psalm 83 or Eze 38.

Psalm 83 comes first as it

Psalm 83 comes first as it involves only Israel's immediate neighbors. Israel is victorious and results in peace "with un-walled villages" After this, the Ezekiel 38-39 war begins with Russia, Iran, Turkey .

i agree with hoss

I think this is how it will go down:

Psalm 83 war...... Rapture of the Church ...... Gog/Magog war.

That being said, i don't want to even begin to speculate timelines here...other than that it definitely looks like the psalm 83 war is coming VERY quick.

Also... the march by the UN to establish a Palestinian state leads me to believe that this could end up being the one-two punch scenario: psalm 83 war erupts because Israel ignores the worlds recognition of the state of Palestine. when it's over and all those against Israel are destroyed...I believe this could be the kick-off for the real build-up of the Gog/Magog war from Russia, Turkey, etc...but that will be more oil-based ... "i'll put hooks in their jaws"

Hopefully that makes sense and isn't clear as mud.

So...

So Jesus will come back before the Psalm 83 prophecy right. Just need clarification on that.

That's one of the questions

That's one of the questions that is being debated. No one knows for sure whether the Rapture is before or after Psalm 83.

General consensus is

The general consensus is first the prophesied war of Psalms 83 takes place, most here, myself included, believe that will occur before the rapture of the church body but as noted in Hoss' response, it's debatable. Then sometime after Israel's miraculous victory over her immediate enemies, Christ comes to call His followers (the Church) in the air. In the rapture Christ doesn't physically touch the earth, He meets us in the sky. It's important not to confuse the Rapture with the Second Coming of Christ. In the Second Coming of Christ, Jesus comes with all of the saints (us) at the end of the Tribulation and physically touches the earth. When He places his feet on the Mount of Olives there is a big earthquake and the mountain splits in two and He defeats the enemies of Israel simply with His Word and then Satan is bound at which time Jesus establishes His 1000 year Reign (Millennial Kingdom). Zechariah 14:1-4; Revelation 19:11-21.

As any of us here would freely admit, I am no scholar nor expert in this matter but this is how I have come to understand it in my study of Christian eschatology.

right..

right... i'm just giving my best estimate that the psalm 83 war will happen before the rapture... I'm definitely open to other ideas or suggestions on this.

I tend to agree

This would seem to be the timeline of things, although debateable, it fits into some other prophecies.

Whoa. Gonna meet my Savior face to face. Let's live out that line in "Shout to the Lord"..."Let every breath / all that I am / never cease to worship You", and by that I mean, we need to use this remaining time on Earth to seek, every moment of every day, to do whatever He tells us, as in, be ever-watching for who He is bringing to us or leading us to that they might learn about Him. The world is watching us. Wanting desperately to know if what we have is "for real". Let's show them that He is real, and He is good. Let's show them with our lives.

Heaven

Strange coincidence, stamm1, I spent the day with my Grandmother yesterday, and we looked at old photos of dead relatives that I would recognize in Heaven. I realized that this is the way they will look - young, as they did in the photos. And we discussed all this. And the children we both miscarried that we will meet!

our babies

I wonder that too. I have read some of the recent books on people who have visited Heaven and returned, like "Heaven is for Real" (Yellow book, they have it at WalMart), which is GREAT, and "The Boy Who Came Back from Heaven" by Kevin and Alex Malarkey. The first one is more concise and seems more detail-filled. In it, this 4-year-old talks about his "other sister" he met in Heaven, and he informs his mom that he has two sisters, not one, He asks mom if she had a miscarriage, and the astonished family confirms it. In the book, the sister was still a child, and the boy mourns for her, longing, once again, for the companionship he had enjoyed with her while in Heaven. Another book is "Flight to Heaven" by Capt. Dale Black. These particular books are written by strong believers. I believe that the enemy, at times, has disguised himself as an "angel of light" and has misled many people with supposed "near-death experiences", giving them a false sense of security without Christ. These "reports" are full of new age ideologies, and the general idea that "everyone is okay". My mom is among those who have been misled by these people. So be careful when purchasing. That first book is by a conservative pastor. It includes WONDEFUL DETAILS. Please let me know if you read it and what you think.

Aimee, please read...

I have not read the book, "Heaven is Real" but have read Dr. Isaac Winston III's take on it at Rapture Ready. I included the link: http://www.raptureready.com/soap/winston2.html

We just need to be careful about the latest 'thing' that goes around. Not all are good (as in not good--"The Shack") and not all are bad. Test everything with Scripture and keep your eyes focused on Jesus. I am looking forward to seeing my older sister who passed away over 30 years ago. May the Lord come quickly!

Thanks, Maranatha

Thank you, Maranatha for the reminder to test everything with Scripture. I read that website. As i read this book, I checked it with Scripture and did not find that it in any way disagreed - ex: who's to say that, while Jesus' robe was red in John's revelation of the end of the age but that He could not have worn something different? To say that any of these disputed points disagree with Scripture is not provable. We must be careful, for sure. But we should also be willing to entertain the idea that God is not in our neat little box. Sure the child was four. My child is 5, and he has seen angels all his life and has talked about them- he was a miracle preemie. His life and his ability to perceive the spiritual condition of people, upon meeting them, defies anything I have ever seen. If I were not living this reality, I would NEVER believe it. The child has spoken to angels for years (some other language) and has been telling me some really interesting stuff. As a toddler, we had a new friend who looked like Jesus (brown shoulder-length hair, parted in middle, short beard, tall, thin) My child hadn't seen what Jesus was supposed to look like at this point. He went up to him, threw his arms around his neck and crawled up in his lap and told us, "THIS is God!" We were freaking out at this point, but, then again, that is Danny. He is always asking about Heaven and has asked Jesus into his heart (and makes sure of his "saved" status regularly".) I have never seen anything like it. He is an extremely loving, compassionate child and seems to have been born with the desire to continue knowing the God Who has been protecting him since my water broke at 19 weeks and he was given very little chance of living.
