I recall when I was a child my mom mentioning quite often that she would see 11:11 on the clock and sometimes she wondered if there was some meaning behind it. This was over 25 years ago. She went home to the arms of Jesus after a 2 year battle with cancer when I was 16. Many times when I see 11:11, I think of her. I haven't seen the numbers that often recently but for a while there it seemed like I was constantly seeing them. I too wonder why those digits and not something else like 2:22 or 3:33 etc., Recently I googled it and was shocked to see that so many people experience the same thing... calling it the 1111 phenomenon.

I seem to catch the clock when it says 12:34 -- It started back in 1987 and has continued ever sense then. I rarely look at clocks -- but its amazing how many times I catch it at 12:34. There's an interesting passage Mark 12:34

When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions.

Interesting passage -- maybe God is telling me through 12:34 that we're not far!!!!

But I looked up some info. I found a blog that was discussing it but keep in mind this is not some 'science site' I am not sure what conversation started the thread but the site appears to be mainly about the mayan end of the world? I dont know. wasnt really reading all of it. Anyway some of the comments were interesting at least.

As to the Red Tailed Hawks I have no idea but I found some links that suggest they are pagan links to a creator or guardian spirit or Shamanistic ideas.

These things are linked to a pagan world and one we do not belong to as Christians... I would be cautious to place too much trust in numbers or animal appearances. Not that God cant use them it's just not something I have heard much off in recent times. The simple explaination is you live near some hawks or near a habitat or they are migrating. The other number thing I cant say unless subconciously you look at the clock at that time every day as some ppl wake up on their own every morning at the same time (internal clock).
IMO God makes things very clear when it's a message from Him. There are no confusing images or numbers or animals to find out what He is saying but that is only my opinion and I am certainly not God.
Still, Pray more for discernment and let the Lord lead you so you are not mislead into something that is not of Him. I will pray that He gives you peace and brings you understanding of what is happening around you. But I really dont think He is trying to tell you something. I believe if He has something to say He just says it. Maybe some of the more seasoned watchers have more insight than I though...

Sweetshrub, I'll climb out there with you and say that God sends me hawks, too. I love them and it seems when He wants to encourage/soothe me, they show up. I just receive them as a child would a "I love you" note that his parent stuck in his lunchbox. Makes me feel loved, is all.

With my Mom, he surrounds her with red birds. Some may call it silly, but I think God loves us and shows it many times in our daily lives. The question is, do we recognize it? :)

seeing 11:11 on my clock radio for years, now, too often to be mere chance. Thanks for posting that youtube video link - I wonder if on Nov. 11th, there will be some sort of bomb or something that comes and creates the chaos needed for the antichrist to appear on 12/21/12????? Any thoughts on this? Maybe God is giving us some sort of warning with the number thing. I know Lost_and_found had mentioned, months ago, frequently seeing those numbers.

Why do you all do this to me?
If a person wants to see something, guess what? They will see it! Conversely, if a person refuses to see something then guess what? You got it. Now, this happens to work on a sub-conscience level to.
For example, I remember buying that new car and without seeking out to see them, I suddenly saw zillions of the same vehicle I had just drove off the car lot....huh!?! Our minds (hearts) have a way of deceiving us, so much so that most of the time we don't even realize it.
It has the Adamic nature that whispers so softly, so intimately to our inner person that it is hard to detect.
This present world is passing away friends, and it is full of evil. And so is our old nature. All wickedness can be traced back to the garden of Eden, where man was tempted with these three things, lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, and the pride of life.
The only goal of these things is to remove our eyes from Jesus Christ and what He has done for our wicked rebellion.
Friends, fix steadfastly your eyes upon Jesus Christ, the solid Rock, our sure foundation.
ALL else is sinking sand.

God still moves, GG. I know you know that. He sent people birds in the Bible, why can't He do the same now? Thing is, it's a personal thing between God and that person; how He moves in my life or someone else's.

For example...my infertility walk. There are LOTS of medical options out there, most of which I wasn't comfortable with in my faith. So my husband/I didn't make a move without consulting God first. We checked in with Him periodically about adoption but never got the "go" before. I figured if adoption was the road for us, He would give us the tap when our baby was coming/ready. A person I didn't know brought it up in a surprising way one day, so later I threw out a Gideon's fleece. I couldn't think of anything in particular and the first thing that came to mind was a rainbow. I asked Him to send us a rainbow if we were to proceed with adoption. (I will say here that when you throw out a G. fleece, it is not to get God to prove Himself; it is to ask Him His will. He knew we fully intended to follow through on what He told us.)

The next day, my husband said in this strange voice, "Uh, Tracy? Remember that fleece you threw out?" I looked up and on this bright sunny day with no clouds or rain in sight, there is this unusual rainbow we'd never seen before. It was not arched, it pointed straight up. We knew, and proceeded. God showered us with rainbows during the entire adoption process. A double rainbow on the day we met with a couple to talk about the agency we used. Another double rainbow soon after. The light fixture I put up in the baby room threw tiny rainbows all over the room to our surprise if you looked closely. My Grandmother's chest that we used in the baby room was completely empty for years. We put it in there and find this tiny rainbow card with Scripture in it about faith in God. It was beautiful.

Could I be cynical about that and say it was just my imagination? Yep, but I won't. Because I know my Heavenly Father's handwriting in my life. It was the fastest adoption our Christian agency had ever seen; 9 months. I've mentioned this before, but my husband & I also prayed Hannah's prayer for the previous year privately every night. Told no one. Our son came to us with a name: Samuel...Hannah's son in the Bible; means "God has heard my prayer."

God still moves in our lives, I have no doubt. In the big things and the little (like my hawks).

Do you remember the story of Elijah being fed by the ravens? Asia Bibi, a Christian wife and mother imprisoned in Pakistan, has received hope and encouragement in a similar way. Asia has remained in jail since her arrest on blasphemy charges in June 2009. A Pakistani court found her guilty of blasphemy in June 2010 and sentenced her to death. But God has not forgotten her!

Asia shared this story with a VOM contact who recently visited her in prison:

There is a beautiful thing that happens every day in my cell. Two days after they announced my death penalty, I was brought into [death row]. Every morning around 3:30 or 4, a brown bird with a long beak appears and sits on the boundary wall. This bird also comes every evening around 5. He sits there for 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the evening. Later on he became my friend. I talk to him and he also talks to me.

As I watched this bird every day, I tried to understand the meaning of him coming day after day. I think this is a messenger from God giving me His message. When the bird comes, I feel encouraged and peaceful. I feel comforted after his visit. I think this is a very significant sign from God.

Asia also reported that she spends much of her time in prayer, including prayer for those around the world who pray for her and speak out on her behalf.

When doing some research on watermelons, I found out that they are only receptive to being pollinated for a short window of time in the morning hours .. before 11:11 AM perhaps .. Gen3:8

I was in my backyard, praying fervently. I had just recently had 2 of my 4 sons "come out". I was asking God to please, please help me help them, that I wanted them to live in the truth and I wanted them to be saved. I was beside myself, in tears and a hummingbird flew up in my face, not more than 6 inches from me and just hovered there for 3 or 4 seconds then flew off. When it left, I felt a feeling of comfort and remembered a scripture in Luke about birds and how God takes care of them, so I looked it up:

Luke 12:22 - 32 And he said to his disciples, "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you anxious about the rest? Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be worried. For all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you need them. Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be added to you. "Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

I realized that it was not all about me "doing something" to help them, but praying to God to help them and then putting my faith and trust in Him.

So, I do not know about the numbers, but I do believe that God can, and does, send the creatures of his creation to comfort us when we need it most. If you don't believe me just ask the 70 year old woman who's only company is a little mixed mutt because her husband passed 2 years ago. God's word even tells us that all things serve God.

Psalms 119:90 - 91 Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures. Your laws endure to this day, for all things serve you.

As I watch and am amazed by the events unfolding in the world today that are fullfilment of the prophecies written in His word, and how miraculous the events are, I do not feel qualified to say that God can or cannot use His creation to comfort those who are in need.

Oh, D_R_. Your boys...I will pray with you. That your dear, dear sons will realize whose Hands made them, whose Hands they need to turn to; whose Hands are waiting to hold them. I have two boys and understand the heart of a mother; share your grief.

I will share with you a hummingbird story I had a couple of years ago at our family lake place. It has high windows (A-frame) that birds tend to fly into a lot; either stuns or kills them. There was a beautiful hummingbird that was too stunned to move for about a hour and a half and my dogs hadn't found him yet. I scooped it up in my hands and sat outside on the driveway until he was ready. Then he flew out of my hands in a burst of energy; disappeared. I just sat there taking in the view, always amazed and grateful at God's creation and creatures. A minute or so later, the hummingbird showed back up...landed on my shoulder for about 10 seconds. Was the sweetest thing.

I meant none to those who truely believe their visitations from animals are divine or the sequenqential numbers are a pattern that has meaning. Who am I to argue? I can not say yes or no to it. It amazes me the stories I see here tho. wow. The Lord must love you all very much to conduct with you so closely. I can say I have never noticed animals (birds or otherwise) coming to me to minister. Altho, I have noted a lot of doves recently around my home for about two years. But then again, I have noted there are some deer come grazing too. The doves are ever present tho. I just figured they were there not that they were sent. Maybe they are sent to be a sign. If so I must be blind to it. Does that make me a bad Christian? Unworthy to understand or know? It is a concern if this is a phenomenon occurring to my brethren who seem to be experiencing life changing events in the extreme cases to gentle comfort to another case when I get nothing but drats the birds are pooping on my car again. I must be very callous or blind or God forbid unseeing. If I have offended the Spirit in my brethren please forgive me. I love you all and as always

Absolutely no disrespect taken on my part, Sister. If it's new to you, these days? Caution's good. The trick is to test it against what you know of Scripture. As stated above, the bird thing has "legs" in Scripture; previous example/s. And, even if no example exists, then to give it a little room, other's experiences. IF they're not anti-Scripture, that is. That's the plumb line for me.

And please don't be hard on yourself in that respect, not experiencing it yourself. I get bird poop on my car, too ;). I don't think God communicates the exact same way with everyone. He may reach out to you in a way that's totally foreign to me. The way I look at it, nothing is impossible with Him. I never want to lose my sense of wonder in Who He is, or what He is capable of doing. His love is very personal, with each of His children. He knows what I will respond to (recognize as from Him), and He also knows what you will respond to. He is beyond words in His creative ways; just look at His creation! Amazes me; not in a new-agey way putting the creation above the Creator, but in an awe-filled wonder of the Creator.
